The Investment Club was created in 2021 and our Goodbody experts have been with us every step of the way, providing practical tips on investing, and insights on pensions and inheritance tax, among other key topics. From tracing their career paths and how to attract more women to the financial services industry to their sage advice and hobbies, we invite you to explore our Women in Wealth series.
My journey to a career in financial services: Three weeks work experience as a TY student in Craig Gardner/Price Waterhouse (what is now PwC) – that’s where it all began for me. Following many years working in tax in Big4 firms where the experience gained was invaluable, I moved to Goodbody in 2015. The last seven years have flown by, and I have been given fantastic opportunities to put my tax background to work in a full-service investment-led financial services business.
What females bring to the industry: Balance in more ways than one, diligence and hopefully a positive inspiration for future females joining the industry.

Career highlight to date: Winning a STEP Private Client Award in 2018. This is an international award that we won for our publication ‘Death & Taxes.’ STEP is a highly respected global professional body, comprising lawyers, accountants, trustees and other practitioners that help families plan for their futures. Also, being on the winning team in the Goodbody Leadership Academy the same year, with a project for the Ronald McDonald House Charity.

On my reading list: I am not a reader of books, but I never stop reading about everything.
What I’m watching: The Watcher on Netflix.
A podcast I loved: Mothers of Invention … a very interesting take on how women turn the challenges of climate change into opportunities.
On attracting women to the financial services industry: The skills you learn are important, lifelong, and invaluable even from a personal perspective.
Advice for Investment Club members: Never give up! But when it’s not working, don’t wait too long to make a change.
